Door Harp

As the name implys, it's a thing you hang on your door, and it chimes whenever the door is opened or closed. I made many of these things a few years ago, but they weren't terribly popular, since noise-making things tend to not be that desired.

It's much more like a hammered dulcimer in how it's made and how it sounds. I made the hammers fairly light, to keep the noise level at a minimum. The strings were just old guitar strings, and the tuners are just small brass screws with a small hole drilled through them.

Materials are mahogany and sitka spruce. Dimensions are 9 in. by 4.5 in. by 3.25 in.
